About

Life is a precious gift from god which we generally not live fully; pondering over little things ignoring the happiness and contentment within us and in smallest things happening in our lives on daily basis... I will unfold the beauty of these things through my eyes and my pen.....bringing rays of hope, love and laughter in your world!!!!

my father...the dreamer

8:00 P.M. everyone including the kids of the house are watching Cartoons and laughing infectiously while the woman of the house is in kitchen preparing dinner for the family.....Suddenly the bell rings and the boy frantically gets up from the sofa, switches off television and both the kids take their books in their hands and grandmother gets up to answer the door...such was terror of the man of the house because he is home!!!!

This is exactly what used to happen in my home when we were kids. The alarm clock was set to ring ten minutes before the arrival time of my father, my mom used to clean the house once again, kids were given an ultimatum that their father is about to arrive anytime, we were threatened to do the work as per our mom or mom would simply say "let your father come then" ......though my father was a nice man but a disciplinarian but as a perpetual custom, moms and grand moms are known to scare kids away with the mention of their fathers to either do homework or stop fighting with each other or simply switching off television.... as per my intelligence can detect and discover, with the birth of humanity on earth, Fathers have been considered the terrorists of the house because their such images are build by the moms, grand moms, grand grand moms and kids never ever got the chance to discover their fathers through their own eyes and wit.....

"I will tell your father what you did" scared us to hell!!! Now that i have grown up and communicate with my father so much, i got to know him really well, i now know him to be completely adverse of his scary image that we kids lived a lifetime with.....and there are many personality types of fathers we find in the world but our dear mothers introduced us to only the scary ones :) <3 and coming back to mothers, since ages we have been listening to the praise stories of mothers who sacrifice to extreme to build a life from an infant to an individual, who fleshes her blood and sweat to leave no stone unturned in the upbringing of her children and loving them unconditionally. Since then only, there has been a silent partner with her who has been an equivalent partner in the sufferings and sacrifices for the kids but has never been sung or praised about....a person who's never been vocal about his contribution in a child's life and his shining future......THE DAD!!!!!!!! a person who's as happy and thrilled as a mother holding the infant in his arms the first time, a man who is too excited when his kid starts crawling or pulls his trousers for his lap, a man who's too emotional when his kid takes his first step as an individual and let the world know that he is the father; taking him along to the park holding his little finger, a man having a football match with his kid and loosing the game purposely so that he can see the happiness on his child's face and enjoy his victory, a man who's as triumphant as a mom when the child wins a prize, a man who loves the attention of the peers for being the child's guide, a man who's in hurry to drop his kids school so that they don't get late, a man who cancels his important meetings or presentations just to be on his kid's side on his big days, a man who spend lac of rupees just to see the smiles on his child's face, a man who braves all odds to conquer the world to provide for the comforts of his kids, a man who doesn't bother if the weather is sunny, windy, rainy or thundering just to earn the money so that nothing lacks in his child's life, a man who leaves his egos where his children are concerned and what not??????????? A dad is a unconditional support whether you need or not, a lover whether you agree or not, a virtue whether you follow or not, a charisma whether you see it or not, a human being whether you feel it or not, a man who has a heart as soft as mother but we as kids are blissfully ignorant of him and only take his scoldings or threats with a heavy heart.....a father always feels the pain if his child gets hurt but doesn't show, he always takes pride in his kid's achievements but doesn't boast, he always takes interest in his child's daily routine but doesn't participate, he watches his kids grow but doesn't let them know, he is always there for them but tries to feel ignorant, he scolds them but later repents, he says them no for picnic but after that doesn't say yes even after feeling saying so......such is my father.....eternal, curious, extraordinary, THE BEST PAA .........dedicated to my ever-loving father....My father swell with pride when he heard of my achievements...he would deeply pain if i get hurt anywhere...he would wake up many times in the night just to give me medicine if i ever suffer from disease...he would accompany me to the report card distribution and would treat me in the evening...he would eat his dinner with his kids only...he would inquire if our studies are going fine...he would wake us up...he would help us getting ready for school...he would ask frequently if anyone bothers us in school...he would keep an eye on how we fare in our class and extra-curricular activities...he never forced his decisions on us...

My father was short in vocal expressions of love but abundant in physical interpretation.Though he was a man of few words but his acts reflected love and care but as kids, we were quite ignorant to take it as affection so we strayed it to strictness but my paa had a heart of gold, emotions of diamonds and principles of platinum...we were pearls of his life and we missed those days of cuddling and partying like today's dads do for their kids....we were scared to talk to him freehand and he was not expressive enough. So this father's day i wanna hug my father to reclaim my years of speechlessness that i never had the guts to tell my father how much i loved him and to show gratitude for everything he did for us without showing off ,with a ghostly presence in our lives which couldn't be seen with naked eyes but heartfelt only...and i would love to show my gratitude to Vicks VapoRub #HugYourDad activity who has inspired me to write about the first hero of my life about who the feelings and emotions were long suppressed by fears..i would urge all the youngsters to give a warm hug to your father which may give you an opportunity to know your dad as a human being, just not as a DAD So #HugYourDad

they rear....they grow.....
they threat....they blow.....
they teach...they reach....
they curse...they cuddle....
they anger...they forgive...
they provide....they tear....
they fear.....they scare....
still they love, they care....
whether we feel it or not...
Let's hug him and say untold..
so the love grows manifold...
“This father’s day, I am expressing my love towards my dad by participating in the #HugYourDad activity at BlogAdda in association with Vicks.”
